Gannon Dedicates New Floor of Academic Building at Ruskin Campus
Gannon University formally dedicated the third floor of its academic building on its Ruskin, Fla., campus today.
Dr. Keith Taylor, Gannon University’s seventh president, announced Friday he will step down next June. Highly regarded for his personal touch, Taylor announced his decision during a community meeting with staff and faculty and in a letter to Gannon students and colleagues.
Gannon University’s Highmark Events Center has been awarded $1.5 million through the state’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program. The RACP grant will support the university’s planned renovations to the 36,560-square-foot Highmark Events Center, creating a visible change to the landscape of downtown Erie.
Officials from Gannon University and Highmark joined today at the center to announce that Highmark has signed a 10-year agreement for naming rights to the center – formerly known as the Hammermill Center – further expanding the long-standing partnership between Gannon and Highmark.
